Duties
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and advanced tools to identify issues quickly and accurately.
- Conduct repairs on various mechanical systems including engines, transmissions, suspensions, brakes, shocks & struts, and powertrain components.
- Execute routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire service, wheel alignments, and vehicle inspections to uphold safety standards.
- Repair and replace automotive components utilizing hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and heavy equipment mechanics techniques.
- Work on diesel engine repair projects and heavy-duty vehicles with expertise in ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), air brake systems, and auto body repairs.
- Interpret technical schematics and repair manuals to ensure precise repairs aligned with manufacturer specifications.
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repair procedures clearly and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the service process.
Skills
- Proven dealership experience or extensive background working in the automotive repair industry with a focus on automotive service excellence.
- Strong mechanical knowledge of automotive electrical systems, powertrain components, transmissions, and suspension systems.
- Skilled in diagnosing complex issues using automotive diagnostics tools and schematics for both gasoline and diesel engines.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other mechanical repair tools necessary for diverse repair tasks.
- Experience working with GM vehicles or similar makes is a plus; familiarity with auto estimating software is advantageous.
- Ability to perform precise alignment procedures and suspension repairs including shocks & struts adjustments.
- Knowledge of heavy equipment mechanics or diesel mechanics is desirable for servicing larger commercial vehicles or trucks.
- Excellent problem-solving skills combined with strong attention to detail to ensure thorough repairs and maintenance.
- Customer-focused attitude with effective communication skills to explain technical issues clearly to clients.
