Position Summary
We are seeking professional and qualified Armed Security Officers to protect our facilities, employees, visitors, and assets. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment by monitoring premises, identifying suspicious activity, preventing criminal acts, and responding effectively to emergencies. Successful candidates will demonstrate strong observation skills, professionalism, sound judgment, and the ability to enforce security procedures with confidence and respect.
Note: Applicants must currently hold a valid Level III Security Officer license to be considered for this position.
Key Responsibilities
- Patrol assigned premises regularly to maintain a visible security presence and deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor and control access to the property by authorizing the entrance and exit of employees, visitors, and vehicles.
- Identify, investigate, and address suspicious activities, security breaches, or safety concerns.
- Remove unauthorized individuals, trespassers, or violators from the premises in accordance with company policies and legal guidelines.
- Secure all doors, gates, windows, and access points at the end of operations.
- Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, emergencies, and calls for assistance.
- Provide assistance and support to employees, visitors, and customers as needed.
- Apprehend and detain individuals when necessary and in accordance with legal protocols until law enforcement arrives.
- Prepare accurate and detailed incident reports, daily activity logs, and other required documentation.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies, security procedures, and applicable laws and regulations.
Qualifications & Skills
- Current Level III (Armed) Security Officer License required.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience as an armed security officer, security guard, or in a related security role preferred.
- Knowledge of security operations, public safety practices, and applicable legal guidelines.
- Strong surveillance, observation, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including report writing.
- Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions under pressure.
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Requirements
