PURPOSE: The Human Resources Generalist - Commercial Group, will be responsible for the daily functions including recruiting, hiring, onboarding, training, payroll, benefits, FMLA, performance support, enforcement of company policies/procedures as well as general office administration.
JOB SUMMARY: The primary focus for this role is to manage the HR function for the Commercial Team, focusing on recruitment for the Managed Services team. This will require full cycle employment of all offsite line techs across the enterprise in addition to Sales and Service talent. In addition, the HRG - Commercial Group will assist on the recruitment of production talent at the plant level as needed.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Recruitment – Engages and embraces the activity driven Recruitment Scorecard goals. This includes:

Continuously building a pipeline of active and passive candidates

Proactively recruiting from various sources; including job boards, career fairs, referrals, etc.

Utilizes social media for recruitment and community engagement.

Builds relationships in the community to establish HLSG as the employer of choice

Leads the selection process, interviewing and selecting the right candidate for the job

Employee Relations – Is a true business partner to the local leadership team and is able to advise on HR issues or escalate them to the Regional HR Manager. This includes:

Understanding of fundamental HR principle and core services: Benefits, HR policies, LOAs, compensation, safety, workers comp, etc.

Builds relationships through trust and credibility while becoming an employee advocate

Communicates the company vision and programs with conviction and positive energy
-
Promotes Company culture.

Manages Safety programs, including Hep B requirements at the local level.

Implements employee retention strategies and tactics resulting on reduction of turnover rate

Payroll/HRIS – System expert with the ability of documenting and processing employee records. This includes:

Understanding and consistently following the SOPs while providing input for improvements (hiring, onboarding, creating payroll folders, terminating, etc.)

Timely and accurate payroll processing

Able to utilize analytics to provide recommendations to management

Ensures compliance with local, county, state and Federal employment law and regulations.

Perform any other duties as manager sees fit.
