An exciting opportunity is open for a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide maternity leave coverage for the upcoming 2026–2027 school year. This contract position runs from August 10, 2026, through the first week of November and serves students at two neighboring campuses: an elementary school and an intermediate/middle school, both conveniently located within walking distance of each other.
As the contract SLP, you will support approximately 90 students in grades K–8. You’ll have autonomy in managing a 7-hour workday (plus a 30-minute unpaid lunch), allowing you to coordinate your own daily schedule between both campuses while maximizing your impact and efficiency.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathologist license in Indiana
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Experience working in school settings, preferably K–8
- Strong assessment, evaluation, and intervention skills
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational abilities
- Ability to manage caseloads efficiently and schedule services flexibly
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language therapy services to students as prescribed in IEPs
- Conduct evaluations and re-evaluations, and contribute to eligibility determinations
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and support teams to optimize student outcomes
- Document student progress, maintain compliance, and complete necessary paperwork
- Provide support across both elementary and intermediate/middle school settings
