Position Summary
The Community Engagement Coordinator supports the organization’s fundraising goals and mission by assisting with development initiatives, managing the donor database, and coordinating special events. This role also helps implement and strengthen the school’s communications strategy to ensure Notre Dame School’s impact reaches a broad audience through the website, social media, newsletters, and printed materials.
Development Responsibilities:

Support development and the execution for a robust giving program in close partnership with the Director of Advancement and President

Build upon current relationships with foundations, corporate partners, individual donors, and active prospects for a multi-million-dollar budget

Support all aspects of the grant submission and reporting processes including gathering all grant materials, writing, editing, and setting the tone for and maintaining standards of excellence in writing, copy editing and presentation

Meet with existing and prospective institutional funders and individual donors to make solicitations.

Ensure timely follow-up on all grants and donor gifts to communicate gratitude and provide documentation to funders

Support relationships with foundations, corporate and individual donors, and other stakeholders as a second level of support for the Director of Advancement and President.

Monitor individual and institutional giving stewardship through year-round engagement and ensuring the appropriate follow-up occurs

Coordinate a variety of events and annual campaigns which promote individual donor cultivation, including securing donor host, fundraising logistics, and execution in conjunction with the Director of Advancement

Populate, run reports, and leverage CRM

Communications Responsibilities:

Implement the communications strategy, including newsletters and social media.

Produce communications and collateral for a variety of stakeholders and prospective supporters.

Work with the Development Director and graphic designer to create and manage branded materials, presentations, and marketing content, ensuring consistent use of the organization’s brand, mission, and messaging.

Support community-facing communications and outreach efforts.

Manage the organization’s social media platforms, ensuring content reflects the mission and voice of the school.

Create basic graphics, photos, and short videos to support social media and marketing efforts.

Monitor comments and messages and respond in a timely and professional manner.

Track engagement metrics and adjust content strategies to strengthen outreach and awareness.
Qualifications:
-
Passionate about Notre Dame School’s mission and impact
-
One – three plus years in a development position, preferably in a nonprofit organization, foundation, or government agency
-
Demonstrated success in: communications, fundraising, sales, advocacy, team leadership, people management, event planning, and working with executives and other leaders
-
Servant-hearted and equitable approach to fundraising and communications that prioritizes the strengths and assets of our Notre Dame School community over the needs and deficits

Strong experience in project management with proven success in leading, delegating, and moving projects into completion in a timely basis

Success in roles requiring execution of multiple tasks while responding to multiple priorities

Proven ability to work with efficiency, flexibility, and good humor

Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with a wide array of people

Experience with CRM including run database queries and leverage data for decision making and relationship management

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including storytelling

Microsoft Word, Power Point, Excel, Canva competencies

Cultural competency and understanding of diverse populations required

Experience with collective impact or other forms of collaborative efforts involving partnerships of multiple stakeholders preferred

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field preferred

Ability to exercise tact and diplomacy in organizational settings

Ability to lift more than 20 pounds

Hold a current driver’s license

Must work occasional nights and weekends for scheduled events.

Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus
Compensation
Salary range based on qualifications. Paid time off to include all school holidays and the month of July.
