Overview
Mountain Kids is seeking an energetic, creative, and passionate leader to join our team as a Creative Program Manager / Gym Manager. This unique role combines leadership, program development, staff management, and creativity to help shape exceptional experiences for children from infancy through the teen years.
For nearly 50 years, Mountain Kids has been a place where children grow in confidence, character, and skill through gymnastics, preschool, dance, cheer, ninja, camps, swim lessons, and enrichment programs. We are looking for a leader who shares our passion for children, families, and community.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, enthusiastic, and innovative, with the ability to oversee daily gym operations while developing engaging programs and experiences that inspire children and support our mission.
Responsibilities
Oversee daily operations of the gymnastics and recreational programs to ensure a positive, safe, and welcoming environment.
Lead staff management, scheduling, training, mentoring, and performance development.
Develop and enhance classes, special events, camps, clinics, and enrichment opportunities for children ranging from babies through teens.
Collaborate with department leaders to create innovative programming that meets the needs of families and supports business growth.
Assist in recruiting, onboarding, and developing exceptional instructors and team members.
Maintain high standards of customer service and build strong relationships with families.
Monitor enrollment trends and assist in class planning, scheduling, and program expansion.
Coordinate special events, community outreach activities, showcases, camps, and seasonal programs.
Ensure compliance with all safety standards, licensing requirements, and company policies.
Work closely with ownership and leadership teams to support strategic goals and organizational growth.
Foster a positive workplace culture focused on teamwork, accountability, creativity, and excellence.
Qualifications
Experience in gymnastics, youth recreation, childcare, education, fitness, dance, cheer, sports management, or a related field.
Proven leadership and team management experience.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Passion for working with children and supporting their development.
Creative mindset with the ability to design engaging programs and experiences.
Customer service focused with excellent problem-solving skills.
Experience with scheduling, enrollment management, and program operations preferred.
Ability to lead, motivate, and inspire staff while maintaining a positive team culture.
Proficiency with basic computer systems, scheduling software, and office applications.
