PRIMARY FUNCTION
Plans, develops, implements, supervises and evaluates all academic programs and activities.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Develops and coordinates academic program initiatives, services and activities that prepare youth for success, promoting safety of members and quality in programs at all times.

Provides leadership and supervision to the certified Teachers and the Technology Specialist supplying recommendations as to discipline, hiring, training, and development activities for subordinate employees.

Works in collaboration with the Education Director to identify ways to strengthen academic programming and the coordination of family activities.

Ensures quality improvement by monitoring and evaluating academic program achievement against target goals, recommending modifications that respond to member needs and interests.

Monitors program attendance and builds relationships with families to encourage regular program attendance and academic support.

Serve as the collaboration liaison with the targeted schools to ensure that active collaboration occurs with the school district with program planning and development.

Provide support to the Grants Compliance Manager, Grants Director, and Chief Outcomes Officer by collecting and reporting on appropriate data.

Oversee the clubs meal program through daily tracking of meal and snack distribution, active supervision during meal times, and accurate completion of required reports.

Maintains and secures all 21st Century equipment and supplies.

Secures a healthy and safe environment, supervising members in the Program Areas
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist with special programs and/or events as needed.

May be required to drive Club van.

May consult with parents concerning member and site issues.

Clean area as needed at the end of day
SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:
-
Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university.

Experience in an educational setting preferred.

Must possess a valid drivers license and a motor vehicle record that meets the standards of our driving policy.

Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

Group leadership skills, including an understanding of group dynamics.

Demonstrated organizational, staff and project management abilities.
-
CPR and First Aid Certifications (or obtain within the first three months of employment).
