We are a growing family health care clinic looking for another medical assistant to join our team. This position is for a Mon - Thursday position. New grads are welcome! Experience or No Experience welcome!
Clinical Duties: Medical assistants assist physicians and other healthcare professionals with direct patient care. Their clinical responsibilities often include:
- Preparing patients for examinations by taking vital signs, recording medical histories, and documenting symptoms.
- Assisting with minor surgical procedures, diagnostic tests, and other medical treatments.
- Collecting and preparing laboratory specimens, performing basic lab tests, and sometimes drawing blood (phlebotomy) depending on state regulations.
- Administering medications or injections as directed by a physician.
- Operating and maintaining medical equipment, and ensuring cleanliness and sterilization of instruments and work areas.
- Providing patient education on preventive care, medication usage, and post-treatment instructions.
Administrative Duties:Medical assistants also handle administrative tasks to support the healthcare facility’s operations:
- Scheduling patient appointments and managing patient flow.
- Maintaining and updating medical records, including electronic health records (EHRs),.
- Processing insurance forms, billing, and other clerical tasks.
- Answering phones, managing correspondence, and coordinating communication between patients and healthcare staff.
- Maintaining inventory of medical supplies and restocking as needed.
Job Types: Part-time, Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour

Experience:
- EMR systems: 1 year (Preferred)
