Job Title: Clinic Coordinator

Primary Purpose: Runs the school clinic with grace and efficiency. Consistently reflects God’s love in every interaction, serving as a positive influence on staff, students, and families for Christ, while fully embodying the Sunlight Way in all areas of responsibility.

Primary Responsibilities:
Clinic
- Treats students from Pre-K to 6th for injuries/illnesses.
- Administers medication to students, checks vitals and logs clinic visits.
- Manages medications - includes physician paperwork, medication logs, and expired medications.
- Communicates clinic visits to parents.
- Maintains immunization and physical records.
- Creates allergy lists for classes, chapel and lunchroom.
- Communicates Peanut Free Classrooms.
- Writes Medical Care Plans for students with illnesses.
Attendance Clerk
- Runs daily reports for Absences and Tardies.
- Sends letters to those over the allowed days.
- Excuses absences and tardies and maintains documentation for SUFS.
- Attends parent attendance meetings.
Front Office Support
- Greets all students, parents, staff and visitors with warmth and professionalism.
- Serves as the welcoming face of the school, creating a positive first impression.
- Provides backup for school tours to prospective families and visitors.
- Represent and model the school’s Christian values in all interactions.
- Provides coverage for morning and afternoon middle school car loop.
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
Spiritual Commitment
- A committed Christian who regularly attends church and actively lives out their faith.
- Demonstrates a growing personal relationship with Jesus through consistent spiritual disciplines such as scripture reading, prayer, gratitude and fellowship.
Skills and Attributes
- Knowledge in the medical field and experience administering medications.
- Excellent computer and social media skills, proficient with all Google Drive products.
- Knowledge of FACTS preferred.
- Strong leadership ability & customer service skills.
- Ability to maintain a flexible schedule working additional hours when necessary.
- Exhibits a consistently positive attitude upholding the values and mission of the school.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented and self-motivated.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to connect well with students, parents and staff.
- Maintains strict confidentiality in all matters.
- Flexible and willing to support school operations in a variety of roles as needed.
- Dependable with a strong commitment to punctuality and regular attendance.
Work Experience
- Minimum of 3 years experience working in a clinic, medical office and/or school setting setting required.
Educational Credentials:
- Medical assistant certificate and/or a minimum of an Associate’s degree in nursing/medical, or related field preferred.
