Responsibilities
- Safely operate dump trucks and tractor-trailers on over-the-road (OTR) routes, adhering strictly to FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards.
- Load and unload freight efficiently using manual handling techniques, ensuring cargo is secured properly for transport.
- Navigate using GPS systems to reach delivery locations promptly while maintaining awareness of traffic laws and safety protocols.
- Transport hazardous materials (Hazmat) and dangerous goods following hazardous materials regulations, ensuring compliance at all times.
- Manage logistics cargo handling by coordinating with dispatchers for route planning, delivery schedules, and load adjustments.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections on trucks, to verify vehicle safety and readiness.
- Maintain accurate documentation of deliveries, pickups, load weights, and compliance logs in accordance with FMCSA regulations.
Requirements
- Proven experience in commercial truck driving, particuraly dump trucks.
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL)
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations
- Experience with route driving using GPS navigation systems across diverse geographic areas.
- Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record; previous delivery driver experience is highly valued.
- Real ID and ability to get on military base is a big plus

Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
