Make a meaningful difference in the lives of students as a contract Special Education Teacher for the upcoming school year! Two onsite educators are needed at a dynamic learning center in the New Oxford, PA area, supporting Autistic Support Rooms with potential for assignment changes based on program needs. The position runs Monday through Friday from 7:45 AM to 3:15 PM, beginning August 2026 and continuing through June 2027. Start as soon as all Pennsylvania state clearances are submitted and required pre-trainings are completed.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Pennsylvania teaching certificate in Special Education (or eligibility to obtain)
- Previous experience supporting students with autism or related exceptionalities preferred
- Understanding of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
- Strong collaborative skills for working with educational professionals and families
- Excellent communication, adaptability, and organizational talents
You Will:
- Deliver specialized instruction to students in Autistic Support Rooms, addressing diverse learning needs
- Collaborate with related service providers and teaching staff to support individualized education plans
- Track student progress toward IEP goals and adjust instruction as necessary
- Implement differentiated strategies to promote academic and social-emotional student growth
- Develop a supportive and positive classroom environment that encourages engagement and independence
