Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Custodian/Maintenance Worker to ensure the cleanliness, safety, and proper maintenance of our travel center. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitary environment while performing routine repairs and upkeep to support a safe and welcoming space for staff, visitors, and clients. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will help uphold our high standards of cleanliness and safety, creating an inviting atmosphere that promotes productivity and well-being.
Responsibilities:
- Perform cleaning procedures to keep store clean and attractive, including shelves, work areas and gas pumps
- Perform thorough cleaning of restrooms and showers
- Perform thorough cleaning of property, store and pump areas
- Pressure washing pumps
- Conduct regular inspections to identify any potential issues or areas in need of repair
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including but not limited to electrical repairs, plumbing repairs, and general building and property maintenance
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and extend the lifespan of equipment
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and protocols
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from various departments
