Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics on various vehicle systems including engines, transmissions, electrical systems, and ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) to identify issues accurately.
- Conduct repairs and maintenance on vehicles such as oil changes, brake replacements, wheel alignments, powertrain repairs, diesel engine servicing, and electrical system troubleshooting.
- Utilize schematics, automotive diagnostics tools, hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to execute repairs efficiently and precisely.
- Service GM vehicles and other makes/models by following manufacturer specifications and safety standards.
- Conduct vehicle inspections to assess mechanical condition and recommend necessary repairs or maintenance.
- Perform wheel alignments and calibrations for ADAS systems to ensure optimal vehicle performance.
- Maintain detailed service records, complete auto estimating procedures, and communicate repair progress clearly with customers.
Experience
- Proven dealership experience or extensive service technician background with a strong understanding of automotive repair processes.
- Hands-on experience working with automotive electrical systems, transmissions, powertrains, and diesel engines.
- Familiarity with automotive schematics, diagnostics software, and the use of hand tools and power tools in repair procedures.
- Knowledge of automotive service standards including wheel alignment, ADAS calibration, welding techniques, and vehicle maintenance protocols.
- Demonstrated ability to provide excellent customer service while managing multiple repair tasks efficiently.
- Prior experience working with GM vehicles or similar brands is highly desirable.
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with a proactive approach to troubleshooting complex automotive issues.
