Role Overview
As a Bartender at Chotto Matte, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional beverage experiences while providing outstanding hospitality to every guest. You will prepare and serve cocktails, wines, spirits, beer, and non-alcoholic beverages with consistency, precision, and creativity, ensuring our high standards of quality and presentation are maintained. Working closely with the front-of-house team, you will contribute to a seamless service, uphold responsible alcohol service practices, and create a welcoming, energetic atmosphere that reflects the Chotto Matte brand.
Main Responsibilities

- Possess a thorough knowledge of the Chotto Matte concept, beverage program, cocktail menu, wine list, spirits, sake, beer, and non-alcoholic offerings.
- Prepare and serve beverages to company recipes and presentation standards while maintaining consistency, speed, and quality.
- Engage with guests to provide recommendations, answer questions, and deliver exceptional hospitality throughout their experience.
- Ensure the bar is fully stocked, organized, clean, and ready for service at all times.
- Adhere to Chotto Matte's Global Standards of Service and consistently deliver our Steps of Service.
- Accurately process guest orders and payments using the POS system.
- Monitor guest alcohol consumption and practice responsible alcohol service in accordance with all local and state regulations.
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and sanitation of all bar areas, equipment, glassware, and tools throughout each shift.
- Prepare garnishes, juices, syrups, and other mise en place to ensure operational readiness.
- Assist with inventory management, stock rotation, receiving deliveries, and notifying management of shortages.
- Collaborate closely with Cocktail Servers, Head Servers, Runners, Hosts, and Kitchen teams to ensure efficient and timely service.
- Possess a strong understanding of our global allergen awareness standards and be able to advise guests on beverage ingredients while following allergen procedures at all times.
- Adhere to all health, sanitation, food safety, and responsible alcohol service regulations.
- Ensure all potential and actual hazards are identified, reported, and addressed immediately.
- Work safely at all times to avoid injury to yourself, fellow employees, and guests.
- Maintain the highest standards of personal hygiene, appearance, uniform, and professional conduct.
- Complete all required training and maintain knowledge of the Employee Handbook and Food & Beverage Guides.
- Carry out any other duties as directed by management.
Physical Requirements
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to:
- Walk and stand for extended periods.
- Bend forward.
- Kneel down.
- Reach and grasp.
- Push and pull objects.
- Lift and/or move up to 50 lbs., including cases of liquor, beer, and bar supplies.
- Repetitive bending and lifting of items.
- Repetitive arm and hand movements while preparing beverages.
- Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment for extended periods.

Required Experience
- 1–2 years of bartending experience in a high-volume restaurant, cocktail bar, or hospitality venue.
- Strong knowledge of classic cocktails, spirits, wine, beer, sake, and mixology techniques.
- Excellent command of the English language.
- Ability to communicate with guests and colleagues in a friendly, professional, and positive manner.
- Strong multitasking and organizational skills with the ability to perform under pressure.
- Self-motivated with a desire to grow and progress within the company.
- Flexible, reliable, and committed.
- Energetic, enthusiastic, and confident.
- Ability to successfully handle difficult situations and resolve guest concerns.
- Current alcohol service certification as required by local or state regulations (or ability to obtain upon hire).

Pay: $19.61 per hour
