Position Overview
- Job Type: Full-time / Contract
- Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM (Preferred)
- Work Location: In-person
Key Responsibilities
- Hardware Repair & Refurbishing: Perform basic hardware repairs and component replacements on laptops (and occasional desktop units).
- Testing & Diagnostics: Run functional tests on laptops and mobile devices to verify hardware integrity; troubleshoot and resolve basic technical issues.
- Cleaning & Preparation: Thoroughly clean and prep tested equipment for inventory and resale.
- Documentation & Data Entry: Accurately record technical details, testing results, and inventory notes into our Inventory Management System.
- Technical Research: Consult manufacturer documentation (Dell, Lenovo, HP, Apple, etc.) to identify specs and configuration details on unmarked or non-working hardware.
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: 2+ years of hands-on computer technical troubleshooting (Required).
- Specialized Background: Prior experience with laptop repair or tech services (e.g., Geek Squad) is strongly preferred.
- Work Ethic: Strong self-direction, time management, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to Detail: Excellent critical thinking and precise note-taking skills.
- Communication: Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent practical experience.
