Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and guide them to their tables with enthusiasm and professionalism
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and quality
- Upsell menu items including wines, spirits, cocktails, and specialty dishes to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales
- Process cash, credit card, and other payment transactions accurately using POS systems
- Ensure proper food handling, sanitation, and safety protocols are followed at all times
- Assist with bussing tables, setting up dining areas, and supporting kitchen staff when needed
- Maintain excellent guest relations by addressing inquiries promptly and resolving any issues with a positive attitude
- Support openTable reservations management for seamless seating arrangements
- Demonstrate knowledge of wine pairings, spirits, and cocktail recipes to enhance the dining experience
Qualifications
- Previous food service or restaurant experience preferred; fine dining experience is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, energetic demeanor
- Experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is highly desirable
- Knowledge of beverage service including wine, spirits, cocktails, and openTable reservation system is beneficial
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and process sales efficiently
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy hours
- Food safety certification or willingness to obtain required certifications prior to employment
- Culinary experience or food industry background is advantageous but not mandatory
- Basic math skills for processing payments and calculating bills effectively
- Strong communication skills with a team-oriented attitude
