Responsibilities:
Oversee Nursing Operations: Direct and manage the daily operations of the nursing department, including staffing, scheduling, and budgeting.
Foster a Culture of Excellence: Develop and implement strategies to improve patient satisfaction, clinical outcomes, and employee engagement.
Lead by Example: Set a positive tone for the nursing department by modeling excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with other departments, including medicine, therapy, and administration, to ensure seamless transitions and effective communication.
Compliance and Regulatory Affairs: Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and accreditation standards, including HIPAA and The Joint Commission.
Requirements:
Recent experience as a DON or equivalent leadership role in a similar healthcare setting preferred
Strong clinical background in nursing, with a focus on patient care and outcomes
Proven track record of success in leading and managing nursing teams
Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities
