JOB SUMMARY
This position is responsible for ensuring the facility is well-maintained, safe, and clean. This includes performing routine repairs, general upkeep, and maintaining the overall cleanliness of the building and grounds.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Primary Responsibilities:
- Maintain sanitary conditions in and around the facility including classrooms, bathrooms, offices, and common areas including:
Mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, cleaning restrooms, and maintaining overall cleanliness of the facility
- Monitor and clean up any debris outside of the facility and playground as needed.
- Maintain inventory of all maintenance supplies and submit supply orders in a timely manner.
- Receive and store deliveries of supplies.
.Perform routine maintenance tasks such as minor repairs, plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, and painting.
- Assess and report any facility needs to supervisor.
- Ensure the safety and security of the facility including maintaining clear fire exits, emergency and exit sign lighting and reporting any maintenance issues or safety concerns.
- Remove all garbage from the facility daily or more often as needed and place it in the dumpster.
- Work cooperatively with staff, supervisor and operations manage to complete any additional assigned tasks as it relates to performance standards and licensing.
Secondary Responsibilities:
- Satisfactory completion of mandatory trainings.
- Additional duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or GED
- Experience in janitorial work

- Ability to lift/move up to 50 pounds
