Job Overview
A Cabinet Installer is responsible for the professional installation of cabinetry in residential or commercial spaces. This includes reading blueprints or drawings, measuring spaces, assembling units, and securing cabinets according to specifications. Responsibilities
- Read and interpret design plans, blueprints, or installation instructions.
- Measure and mark installation points and spaces accurately.
- Install cabinets, countertops, moldings, and hardware efficiently and securely.
- Make adjustments on-site for proper fit and finish.
- Use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
- Repair or replace damaged cabinetry as needed.
- Collaborate with contractors, builders, or homeowners during installation.
- Maintain a clean and safe job site.
Skills
- Proven experience in carpentry or cabinet installation.
- Strong understanding of measuring, leveling, and alignment techniques.
- Ability to work with a variety of tools (e.g., drills, saws, levels).
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Physical ability to lift and maneuver heavy cabinetry and work in tight spaces.
- High attention to detail and craftsmanship.
