JOB SUMMARY
The Spa and Fitness Manager is a well-known Spa & Fitness leader in the industry and has aesthetic taste with the ability to create a tasteful spa environment and translate that into eye for detail and crispness. They understand market trends and have a proven track record for collaborating with vendors, retail providers, team members and the Board of Directors to put together sound business plans and supporting action steps.
The Spa and Fitness Manager is an individual who possess a high level of attention to detail and a strong work ethic. The ability to multitask and prioritize is also essential for this position.
Successful candidates will be a willing team player, comfortable with electronic systems and willing to accept assignments on as need basis, to promote teamwork. Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Scope of Position
The Spa Manager is responsible for the planning, directing, and managing of Spa, Fitness and Sky Lobby Pools operations to ensure the highest quality and profitable products and services for our Residents. This position has the responsibility to ensure the achievement of resident satisfaction, sales goals, business objectives and programming.
Position Requirements:

Five years’ experience as a manager of Spa, Fitness operations in a luxury environment.

Thorough knowledge of full range of spa and fitness services and therapies.

Professional demeanor appropriate for a luxury hotel, club, or condominium environment.

Well organized and demonstrated strong problem-solving skills.

Effective leadership, supervisory, and management skills.

Budgeting and analytical skills.

Ability to communicate effectively and establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients, management, and staff.

Maintain confidentiality of guest information and pertinent resort data.
Responsibilities

Develop, monitor, and enforce the Spa, Fitness and Pool operations’ policies, processes, and procedures

Establish a price schedule for services to maximize patronage.

Develop a wide range of beauty and fitness services for residents, guests and oversee the marketing efforts

Responsible for the recruitment, training, scheduling, supervision and performance of the Spa and Fitness personnel.

Coordinate and communicate with outside vendors to maximize relationships, profitability, performance, and service standards while maintaining the first-class condition of the Spa and Fitness

Ensure department compliance with all Turnberry Ocean Club policies, procedures and programs.

Prepare and oversee the department's financial goals.

Overseeing and directing the product retailing operations at the Spa and Fitness.

Responsible for projecting a positive image within the facility, maintaining an atmosphere of cooperative teamwork that emphasizes customer service and satisfaction.

Any other reasonable duties as required by management.
Education:

Bachelor’s degree or combination of four years’ relevant education and experience preferred

Skills and Abilities
Ability to communicate in the English language. Multilingual language is a plus. Must be a team player. Ability to work flexible schedules including holidays and weekends and able to perform multiple tasks. Experience using software programs such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Physical Requirements
Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, must be physically fit in order to lift, pull and push items up to 50 pounds. Also requires standing/walking/reaching and bending throughout shift.
