Job Overview
Campbell Dental & Orthodontics is seeking an experienced Clinical Coordinator to become a leader within our orthodontic team. As a Clinical Coordinator, you will help ensure our clinical department runs efficiently, support and mentor our assistants, maintain the highest standards of patient care, and create an exceptional experience for every patient who walks through our doors. We are looking for someone who the clinic flow, can manage doctor time and can help train clinical assistants. Must have at least 7 years of orthodontic experience and 2 years in a leadership role in the clinic.
Responsibilities
- Greet and seat patients with a positive, welcoming attitude.
- Assist orthodontists during procedures such as bracket placement and bracket removal.
- Take digital X-rays, photos, impressions, and scans.
- Manage patient records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Provide comprehensive chairside assistance by explaining procedures using dental terminology and ensuring patient comfort throughout treatments.
- Remove and replace archwires.
- Fit and adjust removable and fixed appliances
- Educate patients on oral hygiene, appliance care, and elastic wear.
- Support administrative tasks including scheduling appointments.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized clinical environment adhering to infection control standards and OSHA guidelines.
- Collaborate with the team on general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and other specialty procedures to ensure seamless patient care.
- Manage the clinic flow.
- Ensure that doctor is at each chair at the correct time in the procedure.
- Train new assistants according to the Campbell Orthodontic training manual.
- Manage the overall clinical experience for both staff, doctor and patients.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a dental assistant with a focus on orthodontics
- Two years of leadership in the clinic.
- Knowledge of HIPAA and OSHA regulations related to medical documentation and patient privacy.
- Ability to operate dental imaging equipment including X-ray machines and 3D scanners effectively.
- Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, infection control practices, and aseptic technique.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients of all ages while providing compassionate care.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour
