Position Title
Electrical Foreman
Position Summary
The Electrical Foreman is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all field electrical activities on construction projects. This position supervises electricians and apprentices, ensures work is performed safely and according to plans and specifications, maintains project schedules, and serves as the primary field liaison between project management, customers, inspectors, and subcontractors.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Supervise and direct field crews, subcontractors, and apprentices.
Read and interpret electrical drawings, specifications, and project documents.
- Coordinate daily work activities and manpower requirements.
- Ensure all work complies with NEC, OSHA, customer requirements, and local codes.
- Conduct daily safety meetings and enforce company safety policies.
- Plan material requirements and coordinate deliveries.
- Manage project schedules and ensure milestones are met.
- Install, troubleshoot, and oversee electrical systems including:
- Commercial electrical systems
- Power distribution systems
- Lighting systems
- Generators
- EV charging infrastructure
- Telecom power systems
- Underground electrical systems
- Coordinate inspections with AHJs and third-party inspectors.
- Complete daily reports, production tracking, and job documentation.
- Maintain quality control standards.
- Identify and resolve field issues before impacting schedule or budget.
- Train and mentor electricians and apprentices.
- Manage company vehicles, tools, and equipment assigned to the project.
Qualifications
- Required commercial or industrial electrical experience.
- Supervisory or foreman experience preferred
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications.
- Strong knowledge of NEC and OSHA regulations.
- Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
- Ability to lead crews ranging from 2–20 employees.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Ability to climb ladders, work at heights, and enter confined spaces.
- Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and walk for extended periods.

McDaniel Electrical Construction is seeking a motivated leader who can safely manage field operations, maintain quality workmanship, and successfully deliver projects on schedule and within budget.
Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
