Job Description:
The Collections Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily collections process, managing a team of collectors, and ensuring timely resolution of outstanding receivables. This role focuses on driving efficiency, resolving escalations, and maintaining strong customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee day-to-day business-to-business collection activities
- Supervise, mentor, and support a team of collections professionals
- Provide training, guidance, and performance feedback to team members
- Review delinquent accounts and determine appropriate collection strategies
- Analyze and resolve escalated customer inquiries and disputes in a timely and professional manner
- Monitor aging reports and track key performance metrics related to collections
- Prepare and analyze reports for leadership, providing insights and recommendations
- Collaborate with internal departments to resolve billing or account discrepancies
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures related to collections
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or a related field preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience in collections or accounts receivable
- Experience in a business-to-business collections environment preferred
