Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
- Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of food safety and sanitation
- Assist with food preparation, bussing tables, and maintaining cleanliness in dining areas
- Manage cash handling, cashiering duties, and OpenTable reservations with precision
- Foster positive guest relations by addressing questions, resolving concerns promptly, and ensuring overall guest satisfaction
Skills
- Proven experience in food service, restaurant operations, or hospitality environments
- Familiarity with POS systems including Aloha POS and Micros POS; knowledge of OpenTable is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests professionally and courteously
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
- Knowledge of food handling, sanitation standards, and food safety protocols
- Ability to upsell menu items confidently to maximize sales opportunities
- Experience in fine dining or nightclub settings is advantageous but not required
- Basic math skills for cash handling, billing accuracy, and order calculations
- Effective communication skills to coordinate with kitchen staff and team members
- Previous host/hostess or serving experience preferred; culinary or kitchen experience is a bonus
