Certified Medical Assistant / Patient Care Coordinator
KarisMed Family Medicine – Katy, TX (Cinco Ranch Area)
KarisMed Family Medicine is a Direct Primary Care practice located in the Cinco Ranch area of Katy, Texas. Our practice focuses on providing personalized, relationship-based healthcare in a collaborative and patient-centered environment.
We are seeking a reliable, organized, and proactive Certified Medical Assistant to support both front and back office operations. The ideal candidate enjoys working in a smaller practice environment and takes pride in delivering excellent patient service while helping maintain smooth clinic operations.
Responsibilities
Patient Care
- Obtain and record patient vital signs including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respirations, height, weight, medications, histories and allergies
- Room patients and prepare exam rooms prior to visits
- Assist the physician with patient care during examinations and procedures
- Perform EKGs, injections, and blood draws
- Collect and prepare specimens for laboratory analysis
- Perform point-of-care waived testing and required quality control
Clinical Coordination
- Process laboratory and imaging requisitions
- Coordinate referrals and patient follow-up
- Accurately document information in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR)
Patient Experience
- Welcome and greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner
- Answer phones, route calls, and assist patients with scheduling and inquiries
- Check patients in and out efficiently while maintaining excellent customer service
Clinic Operations
- Maintain exam rooms, supplies, and equipment
- Monitor inventory and order medical supplies as needed
- Assist with administrative tasks including scheduling, patient registration, and correspondence
- Participate in community outreach and marketing events when needed
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) preferred
- Experience in a medical office or clinical setting
- Phlebotomy experience required
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology
- Experience using EMR systems and medical office software
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Compensation and Benefits
Hourly Pay: $15-20 per hour
Biweekly payroll
