We’re a Roseville-based company running a portfolio of ecommerce brands, a local business, and a real estate lead generation business. We’re hiring one sharp person to be the operational backbone across all of it, working side by side with the owner.
Three days a week, in person, roughly 15-18 hours total (typically M,W,F). Our last assistant was with us two years — we’re looking for the same kind of long-term fit.
This is not a task-taking job. What we need is a highly organized individual with strong judgment, critical thinking and execution : someone who takes a goal, figures out the steps, and drives it to done without being chased.
What you’ll do
- Own projects end to end across multiple businesses
- Manage multiple inboxes, light calendaring, and follow-ups for the owner
- Handle order fulfillment (packing small orders in office), mail, and vendor communication
- Build weekly reporting — revenue, ad spend, order volume
- Write and maintain SOPs as you learn each process
- Use AI tools daily for drafting, research, and analysis
- Input data (light accounting), pay bills
- Occasional local errands: post office, bank, supply runs, mail grabs
- Hire VAs as needed
What we’re looking for
- 2+ years supporting a business owner, or running projects with real deadlines
- Comfortable with technology and genuinely willing to learn new tools
- Strong written communication — you’ll send email on our behalf
- Detail-oriented enough that things don’t slip, proactive enough that you flag problems early
- You tell us when you think we’re wrong. If an instruction doesn’t make sense, say so before you execute it
- Available Monday, Wednesday, Friday in our Roseville office
- Reliable transportation, valid license, able to lift up to 30 lbs
What we offer
- $25–$30/hour DOE, W2 with regular payroll
- A genuinely varied role — you’ll touch marketing, operations, finance, and customer service
- Direct access to the owner. No layers, no politics, no meetings for the sake of meetings
- Growth path: as you take on more, the role and the pay grow with it
To apply, send us:
1. Your resume (PDF or Word — attach it, don’t paste it)
2. Your availability on Monday-Friday, and the earliest date you could start
3. Short answers to these three — a few sentences each, not essays:
a. What previous roller experiences will help you be successful in this role? Why?
b. What’s the last piece of software or tool you taught yourself without being asked to? Why did you learn it?
c. Which part of this job do you think you’d be worst at?
