This opportunity begins as a commission-based financial professional role. In the Accelerated Path to Management Program, you’ll begin as a financial professional, learning how to build client relationships, present solutions, develop your market, and meet specific requirements before transitioning into a management opportunity.
You’ll gain firsthand experience in the financial professional role, including client relationship building, business development, prospecting, financial product education, and market growth.
As you gain experience and meet the required milestones, you may have the opportunity to enter specialized training designed to prepare you for a future management role. In that role, you will learn how to recruit, lead, coach, and develop other financial professionals.

What We Offer Your First Year

Your first step is to build a foundation as a financial professional. From there, candidates who successfully complete training and meet production, licensing, leadership, and approval requirements may have the opportunity to transition into New York Life’s Associate Partner management path.

Together with its subsidiaries, New York Life provides a range of competitive insurance and financial products, including life insurance, annuities, long-term care insurance, disability income insurance, and investment products such as mutual funds through our broker-dealer, NYLIFE Securities LLC, member of FINRA and SIPC, a Licensed Insurance Agency.
You will be required to hold securities licenses and FINRA registrations and affiliate with NYLIFE Securities as a registered representative before you can offer investment products.
Your Transition to a Field Manager Role
After meeting specific requirements as a financial professional, you may have the opportunity to enter a specialized Associate Partner training program. We’ll help you learn how to lead, recruit, coach, and develop other financial professionals.
Throughout your career journey with New York Life, you’ll continue to have opportunities to grow and be promoted to increasingly senior levels of management.
How We Will Compensate You
When you begin with New York Life as a financial professional, your income will be commission-based. This allows you to build your client base, develop your market, and gain the experience needed to understand the financial professional role firsthand.
After completing the required training and meeting production, licensing, leadership, and approval requirements, you may have the opportunity to transition into a management role through New York Life’s Associate Partner path.
Once approved for the Associate Partner management role, you will receive a base salary. The salary range for an Associate Partner is $60,000–$150,000, plus you may be eligible for additional compensation related to the agents you recruit, coach, and develop.
You will also be eligible for medical, dental, and vision benefits, life insurance, long-term disability, accidental death and dismemberment coverages, a pension plan, and a 401(k) savings plan.

You’ll have significant income potential over time because our field managers’ compensation is directly aligned with their recruiting performance and the production level of their team of financial professionals. The average income among our 586 recruiters at all levels in 2021 was $270,890.6

2 If you qualify for an Introductory PTAS Contract, you will preview an agent career with New York Life as an independent contractor while continuing to work at your current job, with limited exceptions.
