Slitter Assistant
Job Description: Helps the operator keep the slit line operating to its full potential.
Job Tasks:
- Set up the overhead arm for uncoiler on slit line.
- Help unload/load material
- Assist operator with banding material before the next process.
- Notify of any defects/problems in each coil/strip
- Band each individual coil according to requirements.
- During downtime help package material to necessary standard or requirement.
- Keep work environment clean.
Requirements:
A high school diploma/GED is required. Being able to read and understand measurements or fractions. Operation of overhead crane is preferred and operation of forklift is required.

Pay: From $17.50 per hour
Education:
- High school or equivalent (Preferred)
Experience:
- Sheet metal: 1 year (Preferred)
- Forklift: 1 year (Preferred)
