Job Summary
The Project Engineer (PE) supports the Project Manager and Superintendent in the planning, coordination, and execution of commercial construction projects. This role is responsible for document control, subcontractor coordination, cost tracking, and ensuring project documentation is accurate and timely. The Project Engineer plays a critical role in maintaining project efficiency, organization, and communication across all stakeholders. Responsibilities
- Manage RFIs, submittals, and shop drawings from initiation through approval.
- Maintain accurate project documentation and logs.
- Distribute drawings, specifications, and revisions to project team and subcontractors.
- Support the Superintendent with subcontractor coordination.
- Attend and document project meetings.
- Assist with scheduling updates and tracking project milestones.
- Assist with subcontractor buyout and contract administration.
- Track change orders and assist with pricing and documentation.
- Review subcontractor pay applications for accuracy.
- Support monthly owner pay application preparation.
- Assist in implementing quality control procedures.
- Support safety documentation and reporting requirements.
- Track punch list items and verify completion.
- Assist with gathering closeout documentation (warranties, O&M manuals, as-builts).
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred.
- 0–3 years of commercial construction experience.
- Internship experience with a General Contractor preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Familiarity with construction software such as Procore, Bluebeam, or MS Project preferred.

Pay: $66,658.24 - $80,276.59 per year
