American Traveler is hiring a Sonographer with ARDMS certifications in Abdominal, OB, and Vascular for a night shift position at a Level IV Trauma Center and teaching hospital in Milwaukee, WI.

Located at a 228-bed Level IV Trauma Center, Level III NICU, Advanced Comprehensive Stroke Center, and academic teaching hospital in Milwaukee, WI
-
Ultrasound department includes 3 general rooms, 1 vascular room, and 1 ED room
-
Patient types include general, vascular, OB, neonatal (heads and abdomen), liver duplex, and a high volume of pelvic and vascular studies
-
Average daily caseload of 6–14 patients per sonographer
-
2x10-hour night shifts, Monday and Thursday from 8:30 PM to 7:00 AM (20 hours/week)

Weekend rotation based on scheduling needs

Holidays are worked only if they fall on a regularly scheduled day

No on-call requirements

Floating includes bedside portable ultrasound throughout the hospital

EMR: Epic; PACS: Change Healthcare

Equipment includes Logic E9, Logic E10, Parksflow, and GE Scanners

Minimum 1 year of experience in ultrasound with most recent experience within the last year
-
ARDMS certifications required: Abdomen (AB), OB/GYN (OB), and Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT)

Current BLS certification required

Active sonography license required if applicable

Hands-on experience with general, vascular, and OB ultrasound
-
1 professional reference required, dated within the past year, from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN
-
First-time travelers will be considered if the candidate has trauma experience

Local candidates are accepted at the same rate — no radius requirements
-
Orientation consists of a facility new employee orientation (NEO) plus 2–3 department shifts
-
Team support includes other sonographers, a Lead Sonographer, RT coverage 24/7, Rapid Response/Code Team, and a Manager available on weekdays; radiologist is not on-site for 24/7 reads

Scrubs may be any color; denim and camouflage are not permitted

Free parking is available in designated employee areas

Former employees of Advocate Health or any of its subsidiaries must be separated for at least 12 months before being eligible for this travel position
