Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Licensed Massage Therapist to join our holistic wellness team. The ideal candidate will provide professional massage therapy services to promote relaxation, pain relief, and overall well-being for our patients. This role requires a strong understanding of massage therapy, professional attitude, and CAMTC Certification (Certified Massage Therapist - CMT). The Massage Therapist will create a welcoming environment, ensuring excellent patient service, and represent care and wellness-values of the Five Element Care team with professionalism.
Duties
- Perform various massage techniques including deep tissue massage and trigger point therapy to address client-specific concerns.
- Conduct patient assessments to determine appropriate treatment plans based on individual health conditions and goals.
- Educate clients on pain management strategies and recommend appropriate therapies for ongoing wellness.
- Maintain detailed records of treatments provided, noting client progress and any relevant health information.
- Ensure all equipment and treatment areas are sanitized and maintained according to occupational health standards.
- Collaborate with acupuncturist staff as needed to optimize patient care.
Skills
- Proven experience in patient service with excellent customer service skills.
- Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and terminology relevant to massage therapy.
- Knowledge and practice of Tuina Massage preferred
- Expertise in deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, and pain management techniques.
- Ability to perform thorough patient assessments and develop customized treatment plans.
- Familiarity with occupational health standards and maintaining a safe treatment environment.

Contract Details
This role is an independent contractor position who can set their own hours and benefit from dual-referral system along with the acupuncturist while working in the Five Element Care team.
