DCRT is expanding and needing additional staff
One (1) Full time position work schedule, Mon - Fri 1:30pm-10:30pm and alternating Saturdays from 9:30am-12:30pm.
Level 3 Security Preferred.
Responsibilities: The Security Guard/Maintenance technician is responsible for general maintenance, cleaning and provides a security presence at the clinic.
Security Functions:
· Provide visual security presence at level 3 security.
· Responds to unusual or emergency situations at clinic using the appropriate escalation of force level up to and including armed response by following established protocol.
· Monitors security alarm systems, secures the clinic’s entrances at beginning and end of shift and ensures outside doors, other than entrances, are locked.
· Preserves order and acts to enforce regulations and directives for the clinic pertaining to personnel, visitors, and premises.
· Monitors entrances and exits; acts to prevent unapproved or unlawful entry; controls entrances, the movement of people and vehicles, and parking.
· Observes and reports incidents or suspicious activity to management and completes incident report and follow-up, as assigned.
· Ensures visitors are signed in/out and only authorized employees are in secured areas and loitering clients. Along with crowd control.
· Demonstrated ability to identify and recommend solutions to problems
· Conduct rounds every 15 minutes, check offices, parking lots and doors to ensure in working order, locked and no problems.
· Be familiar with emergency codes and evacuations plans/procedures.
· Maintains proficiency in the use of all assigned protective equipment, restraint devices and weapons.
Maintenance/Other:
· General maintenance of bathrooms, lobby and adjoining areas as needed.
· Able to operate janitorial/maintenance cleaning equipment
· Clean/dust furniture, air vents, doorframes, doors, walls, windows, baseboards and empty cigarette containers, as required.
· Store and replenish cleaning/maintenance supplies.
· Maintenance of outside grounds and surrounding areas.
· Perform other duties as assigned
· Conduct observed UA’s
· Completes all required training upon hire and on an annual basis, thereafter
Qualifications and Education Requirements
Level 3 security certification with requirements is current. High School diploma or equivalent. Must be at least 21 years of age. Must be able to work a flexible schedule based upon the clinic’s needs, follow detailed procedures and have good customer service skills. Must be able to work independently, weekends will be required.
Must be able to meet and continue to meet any applicable state, county and federal licensing and permit requirements for Level 3 Security Officers and armed security work and specific protective device and weapons qualifications. ***If the employee is not a Level 3 Security Guard upon hire, the employee acknowledges the expectation of obtaining a Level 3 Security Guard Registration, within 6 months of hire.
***Must pass Background Check and Drug test
