LPR Camera Car Operator / Recovery Spotter – Phase 1 Recovery

Phase 1 Recovery is a professional asset recovery and repossession company operating throughout North Carolina and South Carolina. We are seeking motivated, dependable, and self-driven individuals to join our team as LPR Camera Car Operators / Recovery Spotters.
This position involves operating company camera vehicles equipped with license plate recognition (LPR) technology to locate vehicles for recovery. Candidates must be comfortable working independently, driving for extended periods, utilizing technology, and operating in a fast-paced environment.
Compensation includes hourly pay plus performance-based incentives. Top performers have the opportunity to earn significantly more based on productivity and recoveries.
Job Responsibilities
Vehicle Locating & Spotting
- Operate company camera vehicles equipped with LPR (license plate recognition) systems
- Drive assigned coverage areas to scan and locate vehicles for recovery
- Run assigned addresses and investigate leads provided by management
- Verify vehicle information through visual confirmation when safe to do so
- Document vehicle locations accurately using company software and mobile applications
Field Investigation
- Conduct daytime and nighttime spotting operations
- Gather accurate notes, photos, and location details for repo agents
- Complete door knocks and customer contact attempts when instructed
- Follow assigned zone coverage and productivity expectations
Technology & Reporting
- Utilize GPS tracking systems, camera systems, and mobile applications daily
- Update statuses, upload photos, and document findings in real time
- Maintain communication with management and repo agents throughout shifts
- Ensure all assigned work is completed thoroughly and accurately
Vehicle & Equipment Responsibility
- Complete daily vehicle inspections and maintain cleanliness of company vehicles
- Properly use and care for all company-issued equipment
- Follow all company safety policies and driving expectations
- Immediately report accidents, damages, or equipment concerns
Professionalism & Customer Interaction
- Represent Phase 1 Recovery professionally at all times
- Maintain calm and professional communication during stressful situations
- Avoid confrontations and follow company de-escalation procedures
- Maintain confidentiality regarding company operations and client information
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
- Must be insurable under company commercial insurance policy
- Clean criminal background check required
- Comfortable driving for extended periods of time
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Basic smartphone and app navigation skills required
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights and weekends
- Strong work ethic and self-motivation required
- Prior repossession, towing, investigative, security, delivery, or field experience preferred but not required
