Hours: Training period 3-4 months, 2AM - 10AM (occasionally until 10:30AM); Long-term hours, 10:30AM - 6:30PM (occasionally 6:30PM)

Leaders Staffing is seeking a dedicated Compounder/Batcher to join a local liquid manufacturing team! The successful candidate will be responsible for accurately preparing, mixing, and batching raw materials and chemicals in accordance with strict manufacturing protocols and safety standards. This role plays a vital part in ensuring the quality, consistency, and regulatory compliance of our products. The ideal candidate will possess an emphasis on accurate documentation/calculation, familiarity with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), and experience handling industrial chemicals while adhering to safety protocols.
Duties
- Accurately measure, mix, and prepare chemical compounds following detailed batch records and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts and other warehouse tools safely to transport raw materials and finished products.
- Ensure compliance with retail regulatory standards, including GMP, CGMP, and OSHA safety requirements.
- Handle industrial chemicals with precision, including weighing, transferring, and mixing while utilizing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as respiratory protection.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the manufacturing area to meet cleanliness standards for pharmaceutical or chemical production facilities.
- Monitor process parameters during batching to ensure product quality and consistency.
- Document batch records accurately, including quantities used, process steps followed, and deviations observed.
- Support packaging operations by preparing materials for final product packaging as needed.
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment such as mixers, reactors, and material handling tools to ensure proper functioning.
- Follow safety protocols diligently to prevent accidents or chemical exposure during manufacturing activities.
- Assist in inventory management by tracking raw material usage and reporting shortages or discrepancies.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in pharmaceutical/food manufacturing facilities or industrial chemical production environments.
- Knowledge of manufacturing standard operating procedures (SOPs), GMP regulations, and CGMP compliance standards.
- Mechanical knowledge related to machinery operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Experience with chemical agent handling, industrial chemical manufacturing, and laboratory practices is highly desirable.
- Ability to operate material handling equipment such as forklifts safely; certification preferred.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations, packaging processes, and materials handling techniques.
- Basic math skills for measuring ingredients accurately and performing calculations related to batching.
- Understanding of safety protocols including PPE usage, respiratory protection, and hazard communication standards.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills to maintain accurate documentation.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment while adhering to strict safety guidelines.
