Senior Software Engineer
Decision Engineering Corporation | Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD (On-Site, 5 Days/Week)
The Role We're looking for a Senior Software Engineer to support the development, integration, and interoperability of Army intelligence systems as they evolve into next-generation network architectures. You'll work hands-on with code, APIs, and data platforms to solve real integration challenges across complex system-of-systems environments. This is an individual contributor role where your technical depth matters every day.
What You'll Do
- Design, develop, and maintain software solutions that enable interoperability across Army intelligence systems
- Build and integrate RESTful APIs and microservices to connect disparate platforms and data sources
- Work within Agile/Scrum development teams to deliver iterative, mission-driven software capabilities
- Leverage Palantir Foundry to support data integration, analytics, and operational workflows
- Collaborate with government stakeholders, system integrators, and end users to translate mission requirements into technical solutions
- Support system integration and testing across evolving Army network environments
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex software and integration issues in operational and developmental settings
What You Bring
- 15+ years of software engineering experience
- BS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field (preferred)
- Experience applying AI/ML techniques such as model development, data pipeline engineering, or integration of machine learning capabilities into operational software systems
- Strong proficiency across multiple programming languages including Python, Java, JavaScript,
- Hands-on experience with modern frameworks and tools such as React, Docker, and Kubernetes
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or equivalent)
- Demonstrated experience writing and consuming APIs (REST, GraphQL, or similar)
- Working knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies in a delivery-focused environment
- Familiarity with Palantir Foundry or related data integration/analytics platforms
- Ability to work in a DoD environment supporting Army programs

Pay: $150,000.00 - $200,000.00 per year
