Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Medical Assistant/Receptionist, where you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our medical practice. You will be the first point of contact for patients, managing appointments, patient intake, and medical documentation while assisting clinicians with clinical tasks such as vital signs collection, phlebotomy, and basic medical procedures. Duties
- Greet patients warmly, verify their information, and facilitate smooth check-in processes using Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
- Schedule appointments, manage patient flow, and coordinate follow-up visits to optimize clinic efficiency.
- Collect patient vital signs, perform phlebotomy procedures, and assist with basic clinical assessments following proper protocols.
- Support clinical staff with tasks such as medication administration, specimen handling, and documentation of medical records.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation, including ICD coding, medical terminology entries, and detailed notes in EMR/EHR systems.
- Manage incoming calls professionally, answer patient inquiries, and provide excellent patient service to foster trust and comfort.
- Assist with clinic operations by organizing medical supplies, managing inventory, and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
Experience
- Proven experience working in a medical office environment with a focus on outpatient or clinic settings.
- Hands-on clinical experience in dermatology, internal medicine, urgent care, or hospital medicine is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of EMR/EHR systems for electronic health records management and documentation is essential.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR is required to ensure readiness for emergency situations.
- Familiarity with phlebotomy techniques, medication administration procedures, and medical assisting practices is preferred.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, ICD coding, and medical records management.
- Experience working in inpatient or outpatient settings within hospital or clinic environments enhances your ability to adapt quickly to diverse patient needs.
