We are looking for an energetic, understanding and experiences Program Director who can lead 3 established teams - 2 homes that work with individuals diagnosed with a mental health disorder and are involved in the criminal justice system. One home is a Long-Term Structured Residency working with 8 individuals in a locked down facility. This program provides therapy to these individuals, has a nurse on staff and works with the program staff, county liaison and the team of professionals to support the individuals with the transfer from incarceration to society. The second program is a step-down program supporting 10 individuals and teaching or reteaching skills to then move to the community of their choice. The third program is a program that goes into Lehigh County Prison and provides therapy to individauls who are incarcerated.
Essential Functions (including but not limited to) -
- Ensures all Residential Psychiatric Rehabilitation Staff follow the Principles of Psychiatric Rehabilitation, CSP/CASSP Principles and follow a Recovery Model.
- Coaches and counsels Residential Psychiatric Rehabilitation Staff on the Principles of Psychiatric Rehabilitation, CSP/CASSP Principles and on a Recovery Model.
- Reviews records of Psych Rehabilitation Assistant Supervisor’s supervision with employees.
- Meets with residential staff, formally and informally.
- With the direction of the Service Director (Behavioral Health Services), follows through with disciplinary actions.
- Identifies and teaches staff to identify the individual’s strengths and areas that need development or improvement.
- Establishes individual goals for developing community living skills.
- Implements methods, processes and plans for goal planning, supportive counseling, guidance, group activities, tutoring, and role modeling.
- Coordinates evening/weekend plans/tasks with site staff.
- Establishes and maintains written/verbal communication with inter and intra-agency staff in a clear, effective and professional manner.
- Attends and participates in inter and intra-agency case staffings, conferences, etc.
- Coordinates and participates in multi-disciplinary team meetings and utilizes the full participation of the individual in planning and conducting the meeting.
- Coordinates/facilitates house meetings with individuals.
- Provides ongoing psycho-social educational group/community meetings.
- Actively participates in interviewing and selection of new employees.
- Facilitates complete orientation training for new employees.
- Provides on-site role modeling.
- Provides training during site staff meetings.
- Participates as a facilitator and/or co-facilitator in a minimum of one on-going training for Regional Staff.
- Develops and monitors residential site staff schedule.
- Participates in supervisory review of all residential schedules to ensure adequate site coverage and maximum service delivery.
- Reviews all schedule changes and timesheet submissions.
- Monitors all leave to ensure adequate program coverage.
- Monitors over-time.
- Fulfills on-call responsibilities, including assuming the primary responsibilities and training and monitoring employees in the on-call procedures.
- Reviews individuals documentation for accuracy, timeliness, writing quality, consumer driven, reason for referral reflected, measurable, show progress, consistency between documents and psychosocial principles.
- Ensures oversight and coordination of health-related needs of individuals with community health care providers.
- Ensures case coordination of individuals, providing linkages to community services of the consumer’s choice.
- Compiles reports, statistics and all data as required for the ongoing evaluation of the program.

Location of available shifts: These homes are located in Allentown, PA.
Available shifts: This is a salaried position where the chosen applicant will work primarily Monday - Friday business hours. On-Call participation is a MUST. Schedule can include, but is not limited to evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays.
Requirements:
· be 18 years of age or older
· have a current driver’s license with no suspensions or points within the past three years
· possess a Master’s degree in a generally recognized clinical discipline and 2 years of mental health clinical experience and be registered, licensed or certified to practice his/her profession, if that profession is governed by a registration, licensing or certification board in the Commonwealth of PA.
· have no prohibitive criminal offenses
· be available to work on weekends and holidays, as needed
