Prime Time After School Program provides a safe, engaging, and structured after-school experience for students in Transitional Kindergarten (TK) through 5th grade. Our comprehensive program is designed to support the whole child by combining academic enrichment with fun, hands-on learning experiences.
Program offerings include:
- Academic Support and Homework Assistance
- Athletics and Recreational Sports
- Arts and Creative Enrichment
- STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) Activities

Responsibilities
The After School Counselor is responsible for creating a safe, positive, and engaging environment where every student feels welcomed, supported, and encouraged to succeed. Counselors lead daily activities, build meaningful relationships with students, and serve as positive role models while ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of all participants.
- Supervise and actively engage students in grades TK–5th throughout the program day.
- Lead and participate in a variety of structured activities, including sports, games, arts and crafts, STEM projects, academic enrichment, and group activities.
- Provide homework assistance and academic support as needed.
- Maintain accurate attendance records and ensure students are signed in and out according to program procedures.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all students by following all licensing requirements, program policies, and emergency procedures.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and respectful environment that promotes teamwork, responsibility, and good sportsmanship.
- Build positive relationships with students, families, school staff, and fellow team members.
- Assist with daily program setup, cleanup, and organization of supplies and equipment.
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe activity areas.
- Model professionalism, enthusiasm, and appropriate behavior at all times.
- Attend required staff meetings, trainings, and professional development sessions.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Site Director or Program Administration.
Qualifications
- AA or Bachelors in Child Development or 12 units - preferred.
- Experience working with children in a school, camp, recreation, or youth development setting is preferred.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and leadership skills.
- Ability to lead groups of children in both indoor and outdoor activities.
- Positive attitude, reliability, flexibility, and professionalism.
- Ability to meet all employment and licensing requirements, including fingerprint clearance and required health clearances.
- Must provide proof of Immunization Records (MMR, TDAP)
- Must provide College Transcripts

Hours
Monday - Friday 2pm - 6pm / Tuesdays 1pm - 6pm
Hours will adjust depending on LAUSD school schedule
Pay: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour
