Job Overview: The Polisher plays a key role in delivering the high‑quality finishes Premier is known for. This position is responsible for polishing and finishing natural stone and quartz surfaces to meet customer specifications and internal quality standards. A successful Polisher brings strong attention to detail, consistency in technique, and pride in producing a flawless final product.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Use a variety of polishing tools and equipment to achieve the required finish on stone and quartz.
- Smooth rough areas, remove scratches, and ensure a uniform, high‑quality appearance.
- Inspect stone for defects such as chips, cracks, or stains.
- Identify areas requiring repair or additional finishing.
- Clean and prepare surfaces to ensure optimal polishing results.
- Review finished pieces to confirm they meet customer selections, specifications, and Premier’s quality standards.
- Check for consistency in color, shine, and smoothness.
- Verify measurements to ensure proper fit and alignment.
- Address imperfections to restore the integrity and appearance of the stone.
- Inspect finished surfaces to ensure they meet quality standards, and Premier’s expectations for consistency, color, shine, and overall finish.
- Follow all safety protocols and wear required PPE.
- Operate tools and equipment safely and report any malfunctions immediately.
- Coordinate with team members and supervisors to understand project requirements and timelines.
- Communicate issues, concerns, or equipment needs promptly.
- Clean and maintain polishing tools and equipment to ensure proper functionality.
- Keep workspaces organized, safe, and free of debris.
- Develop a working understanding of stone and quartz types, including how each material responds to different polishing techniques.
- Seek opportunities to improve efficiency, technique, and overall craftsmanship.
- Support Premier’s commitment to ongoing learning, growth, and operational excellence.

Qualifications
- At least 1 year of experience in a hands‑on, detail‑oriented role such as fabrication, construction, manufacturing, or a related trade (stone experience is a plus but not required)
- Strong attention to detail to consistently produce high‑quality finishes
- Comfort working with hand tools and polishing equipment (training provided)
- Ability to identify imperfections and problem‑solve to achieve a flawless final product
- Solid time‑management skills with the ability to prioritize work and meet production timelines
- Strong communication skills and willingness to collaborate with team members and supervisors
- Ability to follow safety procedures and use required PPE at all times
- Reliable, self‑motivated, and committed to craftsmanship and continuous improvement
- Ability to lift/move materials as required and work on your feet throughout the shift
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $20.00 per hour
