Summary:
The Tool Crib Attendant is responsible for maintaining an organized and efficient tool crib by issuing, receiving, tracking, and replenishing production tools, equipment, and consumable supplies. This position supports manufacturing operations by ensuring tools and materials are available when needed while maintaining accurate inventory records and promoting a safe, clean work environment.
Essential Functions:
· Issue and receive tools, gauges, measuring equipment, and shop supplies to production and maintenance employees.
· Maintain accurate inventory records using the company's inventory management system.
· Receive, inspect, label, and stock incoming tools, equipment, and consumable materials.
· Monitor inventory levels and notify appropriate personnel when replenishment is needed.
· Perform routine cycle counts and assist with physical inventory.
· Inspect returned tools for damage or excessive wear and coordinate repair or replacement as needed.
· Maintain organization, cleanliness, and security of the tool crib.
· Track calibrated tools and measuring devices to ensure compliance with company requirements.
· Support production by preparing and organizing tooling and materials for daily operations.
· Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and housekeeping standards.
Additional Responsibilities:
· Assist with receiving and stocking maintenance and production supplies.
· Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, or other material handling equipment, as authorized.
· Assist Purchasing, Maintenance, Engineering, and Production with locating tools and materials.
· Participate in continuous improvement and initiatives.
· Complete other duties and special projects as assigned.
Required Physical and Environmental Demands:
· Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday.
· Frequently bend, stoop, reach, push, pull, and lift materials.
· Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
· Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, moving machinery, temperature fluctuations, dust, and industrial equipment.
· Ability to safely operate material handling equipment after training, if required.

Education, Experience and Skills Required:
· High school diploma or GED preferred.
· Previous experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, inventory control, or tool crib environment preferred.
· Basic computer skills with experience using inventory management software preferred.
· Ability to read part numbers, bills of materials, and inventory documentation.
· Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
· Good communication and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to work independently and collaboratively with multiple departments.
· Basic mechanical aptitude and familiarity with hand tools, precision measuring instruments, and manufacturing equipment preferred.
Pay: $25.00 per hour
