Job Description
The Coordinator will organize and assist in the delivery of patient care services in the Outpatient Clinic in compliance with the standards of practice for clinical support staff and federal/state/local regulatory boards.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversight of day-today activities of the outpatient clinic.
Coordinates clinic support staffing schedule and daily clinic assignments
Maintains clinic flow to best advantage of the patient, physicians and clinic staff.
Participates in orientation of all team members.
Makes self available to clinic aides/assistants to answer questions concerning patients throughout the day.
Provides guidance and direction to staff in the Medical Office process.
Provides opportunities for staff members to share concerns and address patient issues.
Provides input on clinic personnel performance appraisals and any disciplinary action needed.
Keeps Manager informed of problems arising in the flow process and/or staff
Maintains a high level of interaction with patients and families to continually enhance/improve access to patient care.
Participates in patient satisfaction initiatives.
Competent completion of medical assistant responsibilities, including patient clinical care, preparing the patient, clinic preparation, documentation, and population-specific competency (see medical assistant job description for greater detail).

Medical Assistant Certification
Associate's or Bachelor's degree
5 yrs experience in a clinic setting
2 years of experience in orthopedics
2 years of experience in pediatrics
1 year of supervisory experience
EPIC experience
The pay range for this position is $38.90 - $58.36. Compensation is determined based on years of relevant experience and departmental equity.
