Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an inpatient Rehab Unit position requiring at least 2 years of experience and Epic proficiency.

Details

Position is in the hospital inpatient Rehab Unit
Treats patients with general rehab, stroke, spinal cord, and brain injury diagnoses
Patient ratio is 1:5
Night shift schedule with three 12-hour shifts (18:30-07:00)
Weekend shifts are required
Floating to other units is required
No on-call responsibilities
Uses Epic EMR system

Requirements

Active LA or compact RN license required at time of consideration
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
Minimum of 2 years inpatient rehab nursing experience required
Epic EMR experience required
First-time travelers will not be considered
Must live more than 75 miles from facility to qualify as a traveler
Previous permanent employees at any LCMC facility must be separated for at least 1 year

Additional Information

Responsibilities include delivering rehabilitative nursing care to neuro, spinal cord, and brain injury patients
Royal blue scrubs required
Modules and orientation completed pre-start
Holiday coverage required, especially with minimal time off requests around Mardi Gras
Strict adherence to RTO and holiday coverage policies
