Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC)
OC Psychiatry (OCP) is seeking a full-time, compassionate, and growth-oriented Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) to join our thriving outpatient private practice.
This position is ideal for a PMHNP who is passionate about evidence-based psychotherapy and values building meaningful, long-term therapeutic relationships with patients. While this role is primarily psychotherapy-focused, there is an opportunity to incorporate medication management for your own therapy patients in the future if desired.

What You'll Do
Your primary focus will be providing evidence-based individual psychotherapy in an outpatient private practice.
Responsibilities include:
- Provide individual psychotherapy for children, adolescents, and adults (ages 4+).
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Collaborate with psychiatrists, primary care providers, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated, patient-centered care.
- Complete timely, accurate documentation in our electronic health record (EHR).
- Opportunity to incorporate medication management for your own psychotherapy patients in the future, if desired.

Location: Anaheim, California
Schedule:
- Monday through Friday
- 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM
- Hybrid model combining in-person and telehealth appointments
Clinical Support
At OCP, you'll practice in a collaborative environment where your professional growth is supported every step of the way.
Our providers receive:
- Medical oversight through a collaborating Physician/Psychiatrist Practice Agreement.
- Ongoing consultation with an experienced PMHNP Clinical Supervisor.
- Mentorship and guidance from our Therapy Director.
- Regular clinical meetings, case consultation, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
- Dedicated administrative support so you can focus on providing exceptional patient care.
QualificationsRequired
- Active, unrestricted California Nurse Practitioner License and Furnishing Number
- ANCC PMHNP-BC Certification
- Active California DEA Registration
- Master's or Post-Master's Degree from an accredited PMHNP program
Preferred
- Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
- One year of PMHNP experience
- Spanish-speaking
Additional Requirements
- New graduates are encouraged to apply. We are committed to training and mentoring motivated new PMHNPs who are passionate about psychotherapy and eager to grow as clinicians.
- Must not have opted out of Medicare.
- Must not currently be contracted through Alma.
- Previous commercial insurance credentialing is preferred but not required.
- If applying as a 1099 Independent Contractor, must have or be willing to establish a California Professional Nursing Corporation within 30 days of hire.
