Duties
- Prepare ingredients and basic components for daily menu items, including chopping, slicing, and portioning
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as poaching, braising, grilling, and food handling to meet recipe specifications
- Support the culinary team in maintaining food safety sanitizing procedures and proper food storage practices
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently to facilitate high-volume food production
- Aid in meal assembly and plating for various service settings, including catering events or restaurant service
- Follow recipe adherence closely to ensure consistency and quality across all dishes
- Assist with inventory management by organizing supplies and notifying supervisors of stock needs
Skills
- Previous dietary aide experience or background in food service is highly valued
- Ability to work in fast pace environment, ability to multi-task
- Proficiency in food safety management and sanitizing procedures is essential
- Skilled in various cooking methods such as frying, ramen, grilling, and knife skills
- Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively under pressure
- Familiarity with high-volume production processes and catering experience is a plus
