LifePath is a local not-for-profit organization dedicated to providing supportive services for older adults. We are currently seeking a Part Time Activities Aide to join our Social Adult Day Program team in Albany.
Summary: The Activities Aide is a key member of the Social Adult Day Program team, responsible for supporting the planning and delivery of engaging activities that promote social interaction, independence, and overall well-being. This role requires a compassionate, energetic individual who can foster a positive and inclusive environment for participants.
Duties
- Assist in planning and implementing daily activities and programs.
- Support participants with activities of daily living, including toileting, as needed.
- Engage with participants in a friendly, respectful and professional manner.
- Maintain accurate records, including attendance, case notes, and meal documentation.
- Follow all food handling, safety, and sanitation regulations.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of program spaces, including light housekeeping tasks such as sanitizing surfaces, organizing supplies, and removing trash.
- Quickly shift roles to assist with any high-priority task as assigned.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of participant information.
- Perform all other duties as requested by the Day Program Manager
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Prior experience working with older adults or individuals with disabilities preferred.
- PCA or CNA certification is highly desirable.
- Willingness to obtain CPR certification.
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills, with the ability to manage sensitive or challenging situations professionally.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paces, team-oriented environment.
- Flexibility and reliability are essential.
