Position Summary
The SWPPP Specialist assists in ensuring land development sites are presentable and conform to ADEQ’s SWPPP standards. This position operates contractor equipment and performs daily manual labor.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Installs and maintains suitable SWPPP protection at each job site and ensures the overall cleanliness of each site

Operates trucks of various sizes and weights to load, haul, and unload various equipment, materials, and supplies

Operates a variety of construction equipment including an excavator, bulldozer, skid loader, backhoe, front end loaders, and dump truck

Performs routine inspections and preventative maintenance on assigned equipment and refers defects or repairs to the supervisor

Assists in the installing and maintenance of traffic control devices

Encourages safety standards and guidelines are followed on job site
Qualifications and Skills

High school diploma or equivalent required

Two (2) years of work-related experience required

Valid CDL license is preferred

OSHA and ADEQ training required within six (6) months of hire

Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

Must be at least 21 years of age to drive a company vehicle
Work Environment and Physical Requirements

Works outdoors in a non-temperature-controlled environment, with medium to high noise levels

Prolonged periods of walking and standing required
-
Frequently required to sit, climb, lift, pull, and push objects weighing up to 100 pounds

Frequently required to work in cramped or confined workspaces
