Summary
We are seeking a skilled Line Cook with Grill, Saute & Pantry to join our kitchen team at Gianni's Trattoria. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of grilled, sauteed dishes & cold foods while ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality. Your contributions will play a vital role in delivering an exceptional dining experience to our guests.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook all grilled, sauteed or cold food items according to menu specifications and standards.
- Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations.
- Ensure all Food Preparation is done for all stations as a team.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to maintain an efficient workflow during service hours.
- Monitor inventory levels of grill, saute or pantry-related ingredients and communicate needs to management.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the grill station and surrounding areas.
- Assist in menu planning and development of new grilled dishes.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Grill, Saute or Pantry Cook or similar role in a restaurant setting.
- Strong knowledge of food safety practices and culinary techniques.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Excellent communication skills and teamwork abilities.
- Passion for cooking and creating delicious meals.
- Serve Safe certification desired but not required.
- Must have reliable transportation to and from work.
- Must be able to lift at least 20 pounds.
