Senior Accounting Analyst
Freeman Boatworks, recognized around the world for quality, performance, and comfort, is seeking a Senior Accounting Analyst to join our growing Finance team. This position is ideal for an accounting or finance professional with 2–5 years of experience who is looking to leverage a strong accounting foundation while expanding into financial analysis, forecasting, and operational decision support.
Working closely with Accounting, Sales, Operations, and executive leadership, you'll play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records while helping drive profitability analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and strategic decision-making across multiple business segments. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to both corporate accounting and FP&A within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Accounting & Financial Operations

Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules as part of the monthly close process

Assist with accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash management, and bank reconciliations

Maintain the general ledger and support accurate financial reporting

Assist with inventory accounting, manufacturing cost accounting, and balance sheet reconciliations

Support the preparation of monthly financial statements and management reporting

Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and internal controls
Financial Analysis & Business Support

Prepare profitability estimates for production builds and customer change orders

Analyze gross margins, manufacturing costs, and budget versus actual performance

Partner with Sales and Operations to improve profitability and support business decisions

Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling

Prepare monthly financial reports, dashboards, and presentations for executive leadership

Perform ad hoc financial analysis to support strategic initiatives and operational improvements
Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

2–5 years of accounting, finance, or public accounting experience (manufacturing experience is a plus)

Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial statements

Experience with month-end close, journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting

Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including lookup functions, pivot tables, and data analysis

Experience with Power Query, ERP systems, or financial modeling is a plus

Highly organized with strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Excellent written and verbal communication abilities

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a collaborative, fast-paced environment
