Job Overview: We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality dishes in a fast-paced environment, ensuring consistency, taste, and presentation. As a Line Cook, you will work closely with the kitchen staff to deliver exceptional meals and uphold the highest standards of food safety and cleanliness.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook food items according to recipes, menu specifications, and safety standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work station, ensuring proper storage of ingredients and equipment.
- Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies for daily service.
- Ensure all food is cooked to the correct temperature and presented in an appealing manner.
- Monitor food stock levels and inform the kitchen manager when supplies need to be replenished.
- Work with the kitchen team to meet and exceed customer expectations.
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines to maintain a safe and clean environment.
- Handle multiple orders simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and quality.
- Clean and maintain kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a line cook or in a kitchen setting preferred.
- Knowledge of cooking techniques, food safety practices, and kitchen operations.
- Ability to work efficiently in a high-pressure environment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights and weekends.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods.
