Key Responsibilities:
As a Project Engineer you will become knowledgeable of system design and communicate design concepts via sketches and renderings. In your role you will:
- Assist in the design of mechanical, electrical, or plumbing/fire protection systems based on field of study, using AutoCAD and Revit, for a variety of projects to include but not limited to corporate interiors, facilities infrastructure redevelopment, and Core and Shell new construction
- Mechanical engineers will become familiar with HVAC load programs
- Electrical engineers will become familiar with electrical load calculations, feeder voltage drops, lighting control design systems, Fire Alarm system design, etc.
- Plumbing/Fire Protection engineers will assist in hydraulic calculations for sprinkler system design
- Learn how to identify, select, and specify equipment
- Learn how to interpret National and local building codes
- Attend and assist in surveys and/or construction field inspections, along with the review of contractor shop drawings
- Be exposed to the shop drawing and submittal process
- Meet project schedules and perform work within budget
- Perform other engineering duties as assigned
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university in Mechanical or Electrical engineering, EIT preferred
- 0 - 1 years of experience
- Previous engineering internship, a plus
- Knowledge of the latest version of MEP Auto CAD; REVIT experience is a plus.
- Proficient in design and calculation software; MS Office Suite
